About Kid Smiles

Kid Smiles is a pediatric dentist in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. It is listed at 2563 Peters Creek Pkwy, Winston-Salem, NC 27127, which places it among the local businesses of Winston-Salem that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by.

In Winston-Salem, popular practices book routine cleanings weeks ahead, so call early or ask to be put on a cancellation list; emergency and walk-in clinics are the exception. Across North Carolina, a new-patient exam with X-rays and a cleaning typically runs from about $150 to $350 without insurance, and many offices publish new-patient specials on their websites. Check the listing for hours, whether the office takes your insurance or Medicaid, languages spoken, wheelchair access and parking, then confirm by phone: insurance networks and providers change more often than the listings do.

The business lists hours on 6 days of the week. Typical hours are 8 am–5 pm. It is closed on Sunday. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. The listed phone number is (336) 788-5588. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. More information is available on its website, kidsmilesdentist.com.

Winston-Salem is in North Carolina, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Winston-Salem follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Definitely not kid friendly. Took my little one here and they inserted a piece of plastic to hep keep her mouth open. My little one complained and said it was hurting. They literally looked at her and said β€œno it’s not”, like it was in their mouth or something. Once my little one started crying really bad. I told them to take it out. And what do you know you. The piece of plastic pinch my baby girls lip and caused it to bleed and swell. Their response was I’m sorry. I didn’t know. Um ma'am she literally told you ! TERRIBLE GROUP OF PEOPLE

This office is extremely frustrating to deal with. Appointments are constantly being rescheduled, often with little notice, because the doctor has to leave early or is focused on opening another location. Instead of honest, professional scheduling, patients are left dealing with excuses and disruptions. Even when you do manage to keep an appointment, you’re still forced to wait far past your scheduled time. The only positive has been with the front desk staff. They are consistently friendly and apologetic, clearly doing their best to deal with the chaos. Unfortunately, their kindness doesn’t make up for the continuous scheduling issues and long wait times. I would not recommend this office.

I’ve been to this office multiple times with my children, and each visit has raised concerns about professionalism. On our last visit, the person who cleaned my children’s teeth was wearing leggings and a sweatshirt. No scrubs or proper uniform. This made the environment feel very unprofessional. I’ve also seen this same staff member wandering the office on her phone during previous visits and having loud disagreements with the dentist in Spanish. She has assisted the dentist during cavity fillings as well, yet is never dressed in what appears to be standard clinical attire which raises serious concerns about professionalism, hygiene, and patient safety. As a parent, this makes me question staff roles and whether everyone treating patients is properly qualified. In my opinion, this kind of lack of professionalism should not happen in a dental practice, especially one treating children. It left me feeling uncomfortable and concerned about patient safety.

Overall I am sad to say my experience at Kids Smiles was atrocious, I am shocked at seeing how things are ran at this dentist office, and do not want any other parent to go through what I have went through. As all the other reviews state, I arrived prior to my scheduled time but my kids did not receive until 30-35 minutes after our scheduled time. I do not understand what was the point of setting up a time, if at the end they are just going to see you whenever they want. I am a single mother who just relocated to this area for my job, and asked for permission to get off work, thinking this would be a regular appointment to what I am used to with my kids prior dentist. These extra 30 minutes did make me look bad at work, but this is not the main concern. Once my children were taken to the back, they started working in their mouth without any x-rays, or even following the proper hygiene protocols when it comes to dental work being performed. My child was seen without a paper towel which I can only imagine the amount of germs that landed on him, the cleaning of their teeth took less than 7 minutes, nothing was laid out properly like its supposed to when starting a cleaning as you can

Liked the office layout and staff is nice. The dentist and dental assistants seem very good with the kids and the facility is new so looks very clean with the latest dental gadgets. Only complaint is that we were self pay and was not charged properly and also did not get an itemized receipt as requested initially. Took about twenty minutes and the receptionist seeking help to get me an itemized receipt and proof that I was over charged for fluoride treatments that we made it clear we did not want and that was never provided.
